Remote Cameras – Hardware/software Engineer to work on ‘Real World’ applications

Our business is growing and we are looking for a Hardware/Software Engineer to join our small team of remote camera specialists.  At any time, we are typically working on a number of high profile camera projects for our broadcast customers.

The ideal candidate would have some experience in broadcast TV, however a keen interest and willingness to learn about TV methods could suffice.  He or she will have proven technical skills in software development and will be equally comfortable building and assembling kit in our workshop and going out on site to support our broadcast customers.   The role may suit an electronics or computer science graduate with an interest in the areas below;

  • Real World Interfacing
  • GUI design
  • Gyro Stabilisation
  • Video Motion Tracking for camera following
  • Camera Control
  • Motor Control
  • IP interfacing
  • Bluetooth/Wi Fi connectivity
  • Signal conversion

Some of the tools we would use to develop the above:

  • PIC
  • Arduino
  • RPi
  • FPGA
  • PC
  • CAN Open
  • PCB design

The role requires a flexible attitude to hours, as it may sometimes be necessary to work weekends and outside the standard 9-5 routine.

Our factory/workshop is located in a beautiful setting in the New Forest. However some of the work could be done remotely. You may also be required to visit customers’ locations, including travel overseas.
